Rusted Nails Crown is a one-of-a-kind sculptural headpiece forged from reclaimed vintage hardware and layered textile elements.
 
This piece began in Theresa, Wisconsin, where I built relationships with local farmers who allowed me to dig through old junk piles and forgotten materials. In one weathered bucket, I found a collection of rusted vintage nails — aged, textured, carrying time within them.
 
That discovery became the spine of this crown.
 
Each nail was hand-placed to form a rising perimeter — a protective and architectural silhouette.
 
The base is layered with reclaimed textiles, metal findings, chain, feather, and salvaged adornments, creating tension between decay and regality.
 
This is not a delicate crown.
It is an artifact crown.
A relic of labor and land.
Only one exists.
