Shelley Novotny is a northern Wisconsin mixed media artist working across wearable art, immersive styling, constructed objects, installation and creative experience.

Rooted in the natural world, her work brings together reclaimed textiles, eco-dyed fabrics, vintage and found objects, and gathered natural materials through layering, deconstruction and intuitive reconstruction.

Storytelling and world-building are at the heart of her practice. She creates garments, objects and environments that invite people to step into another world, not simply to escape their own, but to see themselves differently within it.

Across editorial work, exhibition, performance, ceremony and immersive experience, her practice explores identity, memory, transformation and becoming.

Clothing, object, environment or language, each becomes a doorway into story.
