Forked Threshold Guardian is a one-of-a-kind Guardian object formed from foraged driftwood, bound male sage, and a naturally found stone seated within the natural fork of the wood.
The driftwood spine was selected for its strong bifurcated crest — a natural fork that cradles the stone securely within its structure. This formation creates a directional, protective stance, making it especially suited for thresholds and entryways.
Dried male sage (Salvia officinalis) is layered and hand-bound along the upper body of the piece, adding grounding texture and steady presence. The sage remains visible rather than concealed, honoring the material and its natural form.
Threshold Guardians are contemporary symbolic objects created to mark space. They are not tied to any specific ceremonial tradition. Instead, they serve as quiet architectural anchors — objects that signal protection, steadiness, and boundary.
This piece may hang near a doorway, rest beside an entry, or be placed wherever a sense of watchful grounding is desired. Its forked shape gives it a natural stance of alert presence — stable, rooted, and aware.
Each Guardian is entirely one of a kind. No two will ever be alike.
