Featherbound Threshold Guardian is a one-of-a-kind hanging Guardian object formed from forked driftwood, bound male sage, pheasant feathers, and Leopard Jasper.
The driftwood spine was selected for its natural fork and balanced lift. Pheasant feathers rise from the upper portion of the piece, adding vertical movement and subtle watchfulness. A polished Leopard Jasper stone — known for its grounding, protective, and stabilizing qualities — is secured along the body with leather wrapping and hand binding.
Dried male sage (Salvia officinalis) is layered near the base, grounding the piece while the feathers create upward motion — a balance of steadiness and awareness.
Threshold Guardians are contemporary symbolic objects created to mark entry points and boundaries. They are not tied to any specific ceremonial tradition. Instead, they serve as quiet architectural markers — objects that signal protection, presence, and intention within a space.
This piece is ready to hang near a doorway, in a studio, or wherever a sense of grounded watchfulness is desired. Its feathered crest gives it a lifted, alert quality — protective without heaviness.
Each Guardian is entirely one of a kind. No two will ever be alike.
