A one-of-a-kind Declaration Anchor centered around an aged repurposed book page mounted to birch branch and layered with textile and feather elements.
The focal page features a vintage illustration of a bird and nest with hatchlings, torn and crumpled along the top edge, carrying visible signs of time. At the base of the page, the phrase “ability to fly” is handwritten — not as ornament, but as quiet invocation.
Soft nude fabric and rust eco-dyed markings create warmth and grounding beneath the paper element, while a long vertical textile panel extends downward, giving the piece lift and movement. Six pheasant feathers hang on cords at the sides, introducing air, motion, and directional energy.
Flight Invocation speaks to emergence.
To readiness.
To instinct awakening.
Declaration Anchors are spatial reinforcement objects. They hold language and symbol in material form, stabilizing identity and chosen truth within a room. This piece anchors the threshold between shelter and sky — the moment before expansion.
Created intuitively, allowing image, phrase, and material to guide the final composition.
One of a kind.
