Cradle Guardian is a one-of-a-kind handheld Guardian object formed from foraged driftwood, bound male sage, and a naturally found stone nestled within the curve of the wood.
The driftwood was chosen for its sculptural bend — a natural cradle that holds the stone securely against its body. The form feels grounded and intimate, designed to be held or placed within a personal space as a steady presence.
Dried male sage is layered and hand-bound along the upper portion of the piece, adding texture and quiet strength while honoring the plant’s stabilizing nature. The stone rests within the wood’s natural curve, protected without force — held because the shape allows it.
Handheld Guardians are contemporary symbolic objects. They are not tied to any specific ceremonial tradition. They are created as threshold anchors — objects meant to rest near, be held during reflection, or sit within a room as a reminder of steadiness and boundary.
This piece may rest on a bedside table, near a journal, within a studio, or be held in moments that call for grounding. Its curved structure gives it a protective, inward quality — contained, steady, and self-held.
Each Guardian is entirely one of a kind. No two will ever be alike.
