The Fugly Christmas Sweater Workshop — Sip & Stitch Edition is a playful, adults-only holiday experience where whimsy, chaos, and creativity collide in the most gloriously tacky way. Hosted at Cira’s Red, White & Brew, this workshop celebrates everything loud, sparkly, mismatched, and over-the-top — because in Shelley Novotny’s creative world, ugly just isn’t enough.

Designed as an immersive, laughter-filled art session, participants are invited to transform pre-loved sweaters into festive masterpieces dripping in tinsel, jingles, kitsch, and pure holiday absurdity. The Embellishment Buffet offers a cornucopia of materials ranging from classic ornaments and garland to Barbie limbs, tiny dinosaurs, rustic pinecones, eco-dyed scraps, and vintage Christmas ephemera. With access to all tools and gentle creative guidance, every guest becomes an artist of intentional chaos.

The atmosphere is as cozy as it is comical, complete with a Festive Cocoa Bar and optional spirits from the bar to spike the mood. Guests stitch, glue, snack, mingle, and unleash their most audacious holiday visions. The experience culminates in group photos, shared laughs, and the triumphant reveal of each fabulously fugly creation — wearable art pieces meant to dazzle, delight, and defy all notions of good taste.
